The Nikken BAL-20 (Ball Centralizer) is a precision setup tool designed to quickly and accurately locate the centre of a workpiece spindle.
Unlike standard edge finders that rotate, the Ball Centralizer is a stationary measuring instrument. It features a floating contact arm (stylus) that tracks the inner or outer diameter of a workpiece while the spindle is rotated by hand.

- Safety Mechanism: The internal ball mechanism is spring-loaded to retract if overrun, preventing damage to the delicate internal gears if you accidentally feed too far.
