This NSK 0-25mm Digit Depth Micrometer is a specialized precision tool designed specifically for measuring the depth of blind holes, slots, keyways, and step heights.

• Mechanical Digit Counter: Just like the previous Mitutoyo inside micrometer, this tool features a built-in mechanical counter. It provides a direct numeric readout of the depth, completely eliminating the mental math and reading errors associated with traditional vernier scales. Because it is fully mechanical, it never requires a battery.
• Flat Reference Base: The hardened and lapped base is designed to span across a hole or slot, providing a perfectly flat and stable reference plane while the measuring rod is advanced downward.
• Reverse Reading: Unlike outside micrometers, depth micrometer thimbles read in reverse (the rod extends as the thimble turns clockwise). The digit counter simplifies this counter-intuitive process by showing you the exact depth extended.
