Positioned at the top of the machine’s belt head, it works in conjunction with the tensioning and tracking adjustment mechanism to keep the 50 x 1220mm abrasive belt running true — centred, stable, and at consistent tension across all seven grinding stations.
Over time and with heavy use, tracking wheels can develop flat spots, surface glazing, or bearing wear that causes belt drift, uneven tracking, or vibration.
