Checking bore wear, measuring crankshaft journal runout, or verifying cylinder taper demands a bore gauge that can reach deep, transfer a reliable reading, and hold its zero under shop-floor conditions — a standard dial indicator on a surface stand simply won’t cut it. The Peacock BK-10 Automotive Dial Gauge Set is purpose-built for exactly this kind of inside-diameter inspection work: the telescoping extension rods let you reach into bores that would defeat a short-stem setup, while the dial indicator transfers the measurement cleanly to a face you can actually read. This is a used set in good mechanical condition, complete with its original metal case, Japanese instruction sheet, and full extension rod complement — everything you need to get straight to work.

  • Dial indicator with clear graduated face — The included dial indicator reads to fine graduation increments, giving you the resolution needed to detect cylinder taper, out-of-round, and journal wear that falls well inside condemnable limits. A coarse indicator here costs you the diagnostic call.

The extension rods show the expected light handling marks and minor surface patina consistent with previous use, but the contact surfaces are free of the kind of damage — deep gouging, burred threads, or bent stems — that would compromise a square, repeatable setup. The metal carry case shows external wear and age consistent with a tool that has been used and stored on a working bench rather than kept in a cabinet; the internal lining remains intact and continues to protect the components. The original Japanese instruction sheet is present and readable.
