Yes. Every used or new-old-stock tool is inspected and, where possible, tested for accuracy and function before listing. I deal in trusted brands such as Mitutoyo, Nikken, NSK, Noga and Nikken, so quality is already a given, but I still check each item.
If a tool has visible wear, it will always be photographed clearly and described honestly in the listing.
I’m a small, family-run operation, just me (Neill), my father in Sydney handling shipping, and my wife photographing and listing products.
We’re passionate about precision gear and believe honesty is what keeps this marketplace alive.
Every message, every order, every replacement, it’s personal to me.
If something’s wrong, you’re dealing directly with the person who listed the tool, not a faceless support desk.
Don’t stress, I’ll make it right.
If your tool isn’t performing as described, we’ll work with you to find the best solution:
– a like-for-like replacement (when available)
– a free upgrade to a better model
– or a full refund or store credit — your choice.
Because I source tools from Japan and Vietnam, a replacement might take a little longer if it’s not already in Australia. In those cases, I often include a small discount or credit toward your next purchase to say thanks for your patience.
Not always. Some listings, especially in machine tooling or lathe tooling, some items are marked “sold as is”. These tools might show normal signs of use such as rub marks, surface rust or engraving.
All visible wear will be clearly photographed and described so you can decide if it’s right for you before buying.
However, if a tool turns out to have unseen internal damage and can’t be used, I’ll help you replace or refund it. The goal is fairness, not fine print.
If the item hasn’t shipped yet, email us right away at [email protected].
Once shipped, returns are handled on a case-by-case basis. Used and “sold as is” items are generally not refundable for change of mind, but we’re always open to discussing it — being fair matters more than sticking to a script. Also please refer to the Return Policy

We specialise in quality second-hand and new-old-stock precision tooling from Japan:
– Measuring equipment — micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and dial indicators
– Machine tools — vises, sine bars, and magnetic bases
– Lathe tooling — holders, cutters, and boring bars
– Mill tooling — arbors, boring heads, and accessories
Our goal is simple: to make professional-grade tools accessible to Australian machinists and hobbyists — without the new-tool price tag.
