The Kanetsu Kogyo MTP-13A Mag Tap is a highly specialized Japanese fixture designed to guarantee perfectly straight, manual thread cutting anywhere in the shop.

We are firm believers that tools are meant to be used, and this Mag Tap has certainly earned its keep on the shop floor! It is in “well used” cosmetic condition, but remains fully functional.
- Cosmetic Wear: It shows obvious signs of use, including chipped/flaking paint across the body. Additionally, the metal nameplate surrounding the magnetic ON/OFF switch is loose.
- Mechanical Integrity: Do not let the cosmetics fool you. The magnetic holding power is still incredibly strong, the switch engages positively, and the tapping stroke remains smooth. It may not win a beauty contest, but it is a fantastic, reliable tool that is completely ready to be put back to work.
