This set pairs a Mitutoyo 542-123 linear gauge head (a contact-type displacement probe with 50 mm measuring range) with a Mitutoyo 542-092-2 “EB” counter/display/Digital Readout. Then matched with a Micro Granite branded comparator base with Mitutoyo adjustable arm to suit the gauge head.

The probe generates a high-resolution, differential square-wave signal as the plunger moves; the EB counter converts that signal into a precise numeric readout and provides tolerance judgment and data outputs for integration with inspection stations, fixtures, or machine controls.
