The Peacock PCN-1A is the industry-standard “New Pic Test” Dial Test Indicator. It is a high-sensitivity lever indicator designed for centering workpieces and checking runout.
- Clutchless (Auto-Reverse): This is the defining feature of the “PCN” series. It has no direction lever. The contact point automatically reverses internally, meaning the pointer always rotates clockwise regardless of whether you are measuring up or down. This prevents the common error of forgetting to switch the lever and damaging the mechanism.
- Sensitivity: It uses Miniature Bearings at the pivot point of the contact arm, providing exceptional sensitivity and stability compared to standard bush-bearing indicators.
- Durability: Features an O-ring seal on the bezel to resist oil and water ingress, making it suitable for shop floor use.
