- Auto-Reversing Clutch: The genius of the ACCU-Tapper is its internal reversing mechanism. As you feed the spindle downward, the chuck drives the tap into the hole. The second you stop feeding and retract the quill, the internal gearing instantly reverses the tap’s rotation, backing it cleanly out of the workpiece—all while your machine spindle continues running forward!
- Adjustable Safety Torque: Broken taps inside expensive workpieces are a thing of the past. The ACCU 412 features a highly sensitive, adjustable friction clutch. If the tap bottoms out in a blind hole or binds in tough material, the clutch slips immediately to prevent the tool from shattering.
