Sweeping a bore to find the center of a workpiece using a standard dial indicator is a tedious process that usually involves craning your neck, using a mirror, and constantly jogging the machine. The BIG Daishowa CT125-16 Coaxial Centering Tool completely eliminates this hassle. It is a highly specialized setup instrument designed to let you quickly and effortlessly center your machine spindle over a bore or boss.
- Coaxial Convenience: The genius of this tool is its coaxial design. Once chucked into your machine, the 16mm shank and the internal mechanism spin with the spindle, sweeping the stylus against the workpiece. However, the dial face remains completely stationary and facing you! You can watch the needle in real-time as you adjust your X and Y axes until the runout drops to zero.
- 16mm Straight Shank: Equipped with a standard 16mm straight shank, making it incredibly easy to grip in a standard ER collet or milling chuck.
- Premium Haimer Stylus: To ensure you get absolute top-tier performance, we have upgraded this kit by including a brand-new Haimer straight stylus for internal bore sweeping.
- Important Setup Notes: This tool requires a stationary torque arm to prevent the dial face from spinning with the spindle. While this arm is not included, it is incredibly simple to make yourself out of a piece of standard round bar. Additionally, please note that the STR-CT125 external radius (120-degree) stylus is not included in this kit.
