  • Radius Master Small Wheels

    Radius Master Small Wheels

Contact wheels are the heart of the Radius Master system. Each diameter produces a distinctly different grinding profile — from the sharp, tight inside radius of the 19mm wheel through to the broad, gentle sweep of the 50mm. Having the right wheel for the job means the difference between a grinding pass that takes seconds and one that requires multiple compromises with the wrong profile.

These small wheels are 50mm wide, matching the 50 x 1220mm (2″ x 48″) belt used by the Radius Master and Blade Master machines. All wheels feature a smooth rubber surface for consistent belt contact and clean, controlled grinding across the full belt width.

    What’s included varies by size:

    • 19mm, 22mm, 25mm, 32mm, and 38mm wheels — supplied complete with bearings and mounting screws, ready to install directly onto the machine’s contact wheel spindle.
    • 44mm wheel — contact NIROC to confirm inclusions.
    • 50mm wheel — supplied with the shaft included, as this size mounts differently to the smaller wheels.

Each size opens up specific grinding capabilities:

    • 19mm — extreme tight radius work; finger choils, deep narrow grooves, fine detail on jewellery and instrument work. Variable speed grinders only at medium-low speed; monitor bearing temperatures.
    • 22mm — tight radius choils and inside curves with slightly more belt surface contact than the 19mm.
    • 25mm — the smallest wheel in the standard RM-48 kit; a versatile tight-radius option for knife choils, fuller entry points, and precision notch work.
    • 32mm — mid-small radius; useful for moderate inside curves, guard fit-up, and handle shaping.
    • 38mm — approaching mid-range; good for fuller grinding, sweep blending, and larger choil work.
    • 44mm — larger small wheel; smooth sweep grinding on blades and curved stock.
    • 50mm — a full 2″ diameter contact wheel; popular in the Three-Wheel Cluster assembly and as a standalone grinding station for medium-radius hollow grinds and profiling.

These wheels are fully compatible with the Three-Wheel Cluster Upgrade Kit — if you own a cluster, individual small wheels are available as replacements when a wheel in your cluster is worn.

    Choosing the Right Size

If you are replacing a worn wheel, match the diameter of your existing wheel. If you are adding a new size to your setup, consider where the gaps are in your current contact wheel range. The standard RM-48 kit includes 25mm, 38mm, 44mm, 50mm, and 88mm wheels — meaning 19mm and 22mm are the sizes most commonly added by knifemakers seeking tighter radius capability for choil and detail work.

Variable Speed Note for Very Small Wheels

The 19mm and 22mm wheels spin at significantly higher RPM than larger wheels for any given belt speed, which increases bearing load and heat generation. These very small wheels are best used with a variable speed machine (RM48AE-VS) at medium to low belt speeds. Monitor bearing temperatures when first using these wheels in your workflow, particularly during extended grinding sessions.

    Compatibility with Three-Wheel Cluster

If you own the Radius Master Three-Wheel Cluster Upgrade Kit, individual wheels from this range can be used as cluster replacement wheels when one of the cluster wheels becomes worn or damaged — extending the service life of your cluster assembly.

    Product Overview

The Iscar SGTBN 19-5 is a heavy-duty, solid-construction Parting Blade Tool Block, designed to rigidly clamp indexable cutoff and grooving blades for CNC turning centers and manual lathes.

    • One-Piece Rigidity: Unlike adjustable or multi-piece holders that can introduce flex, this block features a solid, one-piece body design. This maximizes vibration dampening and rigidity, which is absolutely critical for achieving clean finishes and preventing chatter during deep parting operations.
    • Secure 3-Bolt Clamping: The blade is locked into place using a robust 3-bolt clamping mechanism. This ensures even pressure across the blade shank, preventing it from slipping or pivoting under heavy cutting loads.
    • Custom 26mm Adaptation: The block’s native shank size is 19mm. However, this specific unit features a custom-fitted, screw-on extension plate that perfectly builds the shank out to fit securely into a 26mm toolpost. This gives you the versatility of a larger mount without sacrificing the block’s inherent strength.

  • Radius Master Fixture Table & Multi Application Work-rest.

Radius Master Fixture Table & Multi Application Work-rest.

Most belt grinder accessories are purpose-built for a single task. The Radius Master Multi Table is different — it’s a multi-application platform designed to support workpieces, mount fixtures, and provide stable grinding references across several stations on the RM-48. The result is a single accessory that earns its place in the workshop by solving multiple problems at once.

The Multi Table mounts to the Radius Master frame and provides a flat, rigid work surface that can be positioned and locked at the angle and height required for your task. Its broad surface area supports longer workpieces — full-length knife blanks, bar stock, and plate — that would otherwise be unsupported during grinding. It also serves as a mounting platform for jigs and fixtures, making it valuable for production knife makers, toolmakers, and anyone who needs to repeat the same grinding operation accurately across multiple parts.

As a workrest, the Multi Table keeps your workpiece at a consistent height and angle relative to the belt, reducing the hand fatigue and technique variation that comes from freehand grinding over extended sessions. For users who find themselves spending time compensating for workpiece drift or re-establishing grinding angles pass after pass, a solid mechanical reference surface like the Multi Table is a significant upgrade in consistency and efficiency.

    Key uses include:

    • Supporting full-length knife blanks during primary bevel grinding
    • Providing a flat reference surface for flat-grind geometry
    • Mounting custom jigs and fixtures for repeatable production work
    • Supporting bar stock and plate during surface finishing and de-burring
    • Workrest for extended grinding sessions to reduce fatigue and improve consistency
    • Multi-position setup for sequential operations without repositioning the workpiece

    Company Information

The Multi Table is designed and manufactured by NIROC, the Australian company that acquired Radius Master Machinery in 2025 and continues to develop and produce the full Radius Master accessory range from Australia. NIROC’s approach to accessories is shaped by real workshop experience — their lead maker, Corin Urquhart, has over 20 years of daily knifemaking and metal grinding practice, and the accessories NIROC develops are designed to solve problems that working craftspeople actually face. The Multi Table is a NIROC-exclusive product, available directly through NIROC and authorised Radius Master dealers.

Why a Fixture Table Changes Your Workflow

There’s a clear difference between grinding freehand and grinding with mechanical support. Freehand technique is flexible and valuable, but for operations that need to be repeated consistently — same bevel angle, same grind height, same finish quality on every blade — mechanical support is what makes the difference between a good craftsperson and a consistent production operation.

The Multi Table gives you that mechanical support without locking you into a single application. By adapting to different positions and configurations, it supports the variety of work that a typical RM-48 owner actually does: sometimes flat grinding, sometimes supporting long blades at the contact wheel, sometimes running a jig for a specific profile.

    For Production Knifemakers

If you’re making more than a handful of knives at a time, consistency between pieces is critical — for quality, for reputation, and for your own efficiency. A fixture table that holds your blade at a set height and angle means the 20th bevel of the day looks like the first, regardless of fatigue. The Multi Table is the practical answer to this problem on the Radius Master platform.

    Combining with Other Accessories

The Multi Table works independently but pairs particularly well with the Hollow Grinding Jig (RM-HGJ) for blade support during hollow grinding, and with the Platen Table (PT-48) for flat grinding workflows. If you’re building out a complete production setup on the RM-48, the Multi Table is a foundational piece of that system.

  • Radius Master Replacement Platen Assembly

    Radius Master Replacement Platen Assembly

The platen assembly is one of the most heavily used components on any belt grinder. Every time you grind flat bevels, dress a surface, or finish flat bar stock, the belt is running against the platen face — and over time, that face wears. On the Radius Master, the platen sits behind the belt run between the drive wheel and the top tracking wheel, providing a firm, flat backing surface for controlled straight grinding passes.

A worn or damaged platen shows up quickly in your work: flat grinds develop a hollow or crowned profile, bevel angles become harder to hold consistently, and fine finishing passes leave uneven scratch patterns. In some cases the platen backing material can develop grooves or delamination from abrasive belt tracking issues or heavy use.

The Radius Master Replacement Platen Assembly is manufactured by NIROC to the original specification — correct material, correct dimensions, correct mounting geometry for the Series 2 belt head. It fits the RM-48 and RM48AE-VS directly, with no machining or modification required.

    Signs your platen needs replacing:

    • Flat grinds developing an unintended hollow or crown
    • Uneven surface finish across the width of a flat grinding pass
    • Visible wear grooves or depressions in the platen face
    • Platen backing material cracking, delaminating, or separating
    • Inconsistent bevel angles despite consistent hand technique
    • Belt running hot in the platen zone due to increased friction from surface irregularity

Replacing the platen assembly is straightforward and is one of the most effective ways to restore flat grinding performance on an RM-48 that has seen heavy use.

    Company Information

This is a genuine spare part manufactured by NIROC, the Australian company that acquired Radius Master Machinery in 2025. Platen Grinding — Why the Surface Matters

Unlike contact wheel grinding where the rubber surface has natural give, platen grinding presses the belt against a rigid, flat face. This makes the platen the most unforgiving station on the machine — any deviation from flat in the platen surface translates directly into the workpiece. A fresh, true platen makes flat bevel grinding significantly easier and more consistent, reducing the need for corrective passes and producing a cleaner, more uniform scratch pattern.

Platen Assembly vs. Platen Table (PT-48)

These are two distinct products. The Platen Assembly is an internal machine component — the structural backing surface inside the belt head that the belt runs against during flat grinding. The Platen Table (PT-48) is a separate work-support accessory that mounts externally and supports your workpiece during platen grinding. Both are available as genuine NIROC parts.

    Scheduled Maintenance Tip

If you’re replacing the platen assembly, it’s a good opportunity to inspect the belt head for general wear — particularly the tracking wheel, belt tension spring, and any plastic or rubber components in the belt path. NIROC supplies all of these as individual spare parts, and a combined inspection during a platen replacement keeps downtime to a minimum.

  • Sumitomo SBN 20-26 Lathe Parting Tool Block

Sumitomo SBN 20-26 Lathe Parting Tool Block

The Sumitomo SBN 20-26 is a heavy-duty Tool Block designed for mounting standard parting, grooving, and cut-off blades securely on your lathe.

Just like the industry-standard Iscar blocks, this modular system provides maximum rigidity for thin cut-off blades by clamping them across a large surface area. This eliminates the vibration and chatter that often plague deep parting operations.

    • Shank Size: Features a standard 20mm functional shank height, making it a perfect fit for 20mm turrets or appropriately sized quick-change tool posts (such as a BXA or CXA).
    • Blade Compatibility: Designed to accept standard 26mm tall blades (such as the size 26 blades from Sumitomo, Iscar, Korloy, and others).
    • Adjustable Overhang: The block allows you to slide the blade in and out to set the exact overhang required for the diameter of your workpiece, ensuring you only extend the blade as far as absolutely necessary for maximum strength.

    Condition

    Used (Great Condition).

This tool block is in great used condition. Crucially, there are no signs of crashing, rubbing, or spun workpieces on the face of the block. The clamping mechanics are tight, and the jaw faces remain clean to provide a solid, flat grip on your blades.

Iscar SGTBN 16-5 Lathe Parting Tool Block

The Iscar SGTBN 16-5 is a dedicated Tool Block designed to hold parting, grooving, and cut-off blades securely on a lathe.

Because parting blades are thin and often extended deep into a cut, they are highly susceptible to vibration and chatter. This block clamps the blade rigidly across a large surface area, providing the necessary stability for clean, heavy-duty cut-off operations.

    • Shank Size: Features a 16mm x 16mm (approx. 5/8″) square shank. This makes it an ideal fit for standard quick-change tool posts (like AXA or BXA sizes) or conventional 4-way turrets.
    • Blade Compatibility: Designed to accept standard 26mm (1.024″) tall blades. This accommodates a huge variety of genuine Iscar blades (such as the SGIH 26 series or TGFH 26 series) as well as generic 26mm/1-inch parting blades from other manufacturers.
    • Versatility: By using a block-and-blade system rather than a solid one-piece tool, you can easily adjust the overhang of the blade within the block to suit the specific diameter of the material you are parting, ensuring maximum rigidity for every job.

    Condition

    Used.

This tool block is in used condition. As with all used tool blocks, expect some cosmetic marks or minor wear from chip deflection. However, the heavy steel construction ensures the clamping jaws will still hold the blade tightly and securely.

    Brand Information

Iscar (headquartered in Israel) is widely considered the world leader in parting and grooving technology. They invented the original “Self-Grip” cut-off system that revolutionized modern lathe work. Their tool blocks are precision-machined from high-quality hardened steel, ensuring they won’t warp, crack, or strip threads under heavy clamping loads like cheaper imports often do.

  • Noga Deburring Blades BS1010

    Noga Deburring Blades BS1010

    Product Overview

The Noga BS1010 is the absolute industry standard for deburring. If you own a deburring tool, this is likely the blade you use 90% of the time.

Known as the “S10” Blade, it is a general-purpose heavy-duty blade designed for the vast majority of workshop materials.

    • Versatility: Works perfectly on Steel, Aluminium, and Plastic.
    • Geometry: Features a 40° cutting angle which provides the best balance between edge life and cutting aggression.
    • Compatibility: Fits almost all standard deburring handles (Noga NG-1, SG-1, NB handle, and many generic holders like Shaviv or Vargus that accept 3.2mm swivel blades).
    • Material: Made from High-Speed Steel (HSS) with a hardness of 62-64 Rc.

    Condition

    New (10 Pack).

This is a brand-new plastic pack containing 10 x Genuine Noga BS1010 Blades.

    • Note on Fakes: There are many cheap copies of this blade on the market that dull after one hole. These are genuine Noga blades, made in Israel, ensuring they hold their edge across hundreds of parts.

    Brand Information

Noga Engineering (Israel) invented the modern swivel-blade deburring tool. Their “S-System” is the global standard, and despite many imitators, Noga blades remain the sharpest and longest-lasting options available for manual finishing.

  • Mitutoyo Digital Dial Gauge 543-781

    Mitutoyo Digital Dial Gauge 543-781

    Condition

Used (Good Working Condition / Multi-Quantity Listing).

These digital indicators are in good used condition and are fully functional. Please Note: This listing is for one (1) indicator, chosen from a batch of similar units. While the specific serial number may vary from the photos, all units share the same condition: they show signs of normal workshop use, including light superficial marks on the body or crystal, but have been tested to be repeatable and accurate. The spindle movement is smooth, and the LCD segments are clear.

    Product Overview

The Mitutoyo 543-781 (ID-S1012M) is a robust “Economy Series” Digimatic Indicator designed for simple, reliable measurement. It features a standard measuring range of 12.7mm with a resolution of 0.01mm.

Unlike complex high-end models, the ID-S series focuses on ease of use with just two buttons: Origin (to set the absolute zero point) and Power/Zero (to zero the display at any position for incremental measurement). It utilises Mitutoyo’s proprietary ABSOLUTE electrostatic capacitance sensor, meaning the origin point is stored even when the power is turned off, you don’t have to re-set the zero every time you pick it up. It has an 8mm stem and a standard lug back for mounting.

    Brand Information

Mitutoyo Corporation (est. 1934) is the global leader in precision metrology. The ID-S series was designed to be as tough as a mechanical dial gauge but with the error-free reading of a digital screen. They are the “daily driver” of the digital indicator world—simple, battery-efficient, and incredibly durable.+1

  • Peacock Dial Test Indicator PCN-1BZB

    Peacock Dial Test Indicator PCN-1BZB

    Condition

Used (Working Condition / Cosmetic Wear).

This dial test indicator is in used condition. As noted, it is cosmetically “rough,” showing signs of regular workshop service on the body and bezel. However, it has been tested and is functioning nicely. The movement is smooth, and the auto-reverse mechanism operates correctly. Please Note: This is sold as the Gauge Only (no box, stems, or accessories included).

    Product Overview

The Peacock PCN-1BZB is a premium “Z-Series” One Revolution dial test indicator. Unlike standard PCN-1B models, this specialised “Z” version features a limited measuring range of 0.6mm to prevent reading errors.

    • Error-Free Reading: The pointer remains within a single revolution (or less), making it impossible to miscount multiple rotations—a common source of scrap in precision machining.
    • Clutchless (Auto-Reverse): It features Peacock’s signature “Clutchless” lever mechanism. You do not need to flip a switch to change direction; the pointer always rotates clockwise regardless of whether the stylus moves up or down.
    • High Sensitivity: The “Z” series utilises miniature jewelled bearings at the pivot point for exceptional sensitivity and durability.
    • Visual Zones: The dial face typically features a colour-coded (Yellow/Blue) background to clearly indicate the “usable” measuring range and the “dead zone”.

    Brand Information

Peacock (Ozaki Mfg. Co., Ltd.) is one of Japan’s “Big Three” metrology manufacturers (alongside Mitutoyo and Teclock). They are particularly famous for their “Pic Test” lever indicators, which are often preferred by toolmakers for their smooth, low-friction movements and robust clutchless design.
